Step 5 Objective
Find and justify probabilities based on equally likely outcomes in simple contexts.

- What if pupils find
this a barrier?
Examples of what pupils should know and be able to do
Pupils should be able to mark on a number line the probability of a particular event exactly, e.g. Pr(4) on a fair six-sided dice.
On a fair dice what is the probability of rolling:
- 5?
- an odd number?
- zero?
- a number greater than 2?
- a prime number?
- a number lying between 0 and 7?
Mark these probabilities on a probability scale.
